Mark Zuckerberg Confirms WhatsApp’s Multi-Device Feature Called ‘It’s Future’

WABetaInfo had a conversation with Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart and announced when some of the new features of WhatsApp will become available. Accordingly, multi-device support, one of the most anticipated features, will be available in a few months.

WABetaInfo, which conveys the innovations of the world’s most popular instant messaging application WhatsApp, announced that it had a conversation with Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO  Will Cathcart over WhatsApp. Describing the details of this meeting, the team managed to personally approve the features of WhatsApp that will be available in the near future, to Zuckerberg and Cathcart.

In the WhatsApp news we shared with you before, we talked about a brand new ” multi-device ” feature. This feature would allow a WhatsApp account to be used independently across multiple devices. WhatsApp developers have been working on this feature for a while, and Mark Zuckerberg says that this feature will be available in the near future. According to Zuckerberg, it’s not easy to sync all the data in the account and the feature was delayed due to these technical difficulties.

WhatsApp CEO: Multi-device feature will come to public beta versions in 2 months

Not only Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart also talked about the multi-device support feature that many users have been waiting for. Cathcart has announced that this feature will reach public beta versions of WhatsApp within a maximum of 2 months . Although 2 months is still a long time for users , we should not ignore such a statement from the CEO.

One-time view-only photos and videos feature coming

One of the features discovered in past beta versions of WhatsApp was that a sent photo or video could only be viewed once. Asking about this feature, WABetaInfo says it has good news from Mark Zuckerberg. According to Zuckerberg, this feature, which is important for some users, will be experienced by both Android and iOS users in the near future.

Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned the improved disappearing messages feature in his statements about the new features to come to WhatsApp. Accordingly, disappearing messages, a relatively new feature, will be automatically enabled for new chats. Although Zuckerberg said that this feature will definitely be available, he did not make an evaluation about time.

In fact, neither Mark Zuckerberg nor Will Cathcart mentioned a feature we didn’t know about. However, WhatsApp kept users waiting for a long time, even in dark mode support. The explanations made now gave information about when features such as multiple messages, which have been expected for a long time, will be available.
